Short Description:

The Green Asia Program aims to develop outstanding leaders who can contribute to the achievement of “Green Asia”. Successful candidates have the opportunity to be trained in one of the program’s three specialized fields: materials science, system engineering, and resources engineering, with additional lectures on environmental science, basic sociology, and economics. Furthermore, candidates can network with other professionals in Asia through educational training offered domestically and internationally. Students who have completed all the required training are expected to play the leading role in our society with the following five abilities; research, practical understanding, global perspective, objective appraisal, and leadership.
The Green Asia Education Center was established in December 2012 as an educational facility that conducts the Green Asia Program, and later it has been expansively integrated with Transdisciplinary Research and Education Center for Green Technologies since April 2019, aiming to further enhance its functions for globally advanced education.
Moreover, Evergreen – Joint Journal of Novel Carbon Resource Sciences & Green Asia Strategy – was designed to be one of the pillars of the Green Asia Program and has been published as a peer-reviewed journal. The CiteScore 2022 of Evergreen was recorded to be 3.5 while the total number of publications stands at 253 (as of 07 February, 2022).
