Sustainable aqua-food science Mission & Vision of Modules Research and development on food production systems using aquatic biological resources will be conducted, and social implementation will be promoted through collaboration with research institutions in the Asia-Oceania region. We will also conduct research and development on sustainable aquaculture production and fishery resource management adapted to climate change caused by global warming, conservation of the aquatic production environment including measures against marine pollution and red tide, breeding, nursery raising, and disease control using new biotechnology, effective utilization of unused biological resources, discovery of seeds of fishery research and technology through surveys of trends in the consumption of marine products, and public acceptance of fishery research and technology. We will also conduct research and technological development on sustainable biological production and utilization in the aquatic environment, including the evaluation of public acceptance of fisheries research and technology.
