Research:

The accelerating pace of environmental changes, including climate variability and land use dynamics, amplifies the occurrence and magnitude of nature disasters such as landslides. By addressing these challenges, my work not only focuses on understanding the fundamental mechanisms driving slope instability but also emphasizes the urgent need for proactive measures to mitigate disaster risks. Through innovative soft-measurement techniques, including hazard mapping and numerical runout simulation. Additionally, I delve into the assessment of geotechnical uncertainty and strategies for mitigating its impact on engineering projects.

Relevant Countries in Asia & Oceania:

China, Japan, Singapore

Committee roles and Outreach activities:

ISO (International Standards Organization)

Message:

In Q-AOS, our activities are diverse and driven by a commitment to addressing significant challenges. Central to our approach is the prioritization of inter-disciplinary collaboration, recognizing its crucial role in fostering innovative solutions and advancing knowledge. We envision a dynamic environment within Q-AOS where researchers from diverse backgrounds converge, exchange ideas, and collaborate on projects aimed at developing resilient infrastructure and safeguarding communities. Our dedication to excellence transcends conventional boundaries, emphasizing the importance of bridging disciplinary fields to confront the evolving challenges posed by natural disasters (as my case in the field of civil engineering). Through collaborative efforts and a culture of knowledge sharing, our aim is to make meaningful contributions towards enhancing academic research.
