It then turns to a more specific aspect, citizenship education for social justice, giving some empirical and comparative observations about how social justice is portrayed and what elements are missing in official citizenship education in Japan and China. The educational perspective will benefit further discussion about social in/justice, an interdisciplinary topic significant to the contemporary human society still struggling with various forms of oppression and domination.
