Indonesia

Kyushu University has a bilateral agreement at the university level with the University of Indonesia, Gadjah Mada University, and Bandung Institute of Technology for academic cooperation, joint research program, and staff and student exchange program. In addition, ten other Indonesian universities have a bilateral agreement at the faculty level. The collaboration between Kyushu University and Indonesian universities mostly focuses on engineering, agriculture, forestry, geology, mathematics and natural sciences, and art and design. However, numerous researchers from Kyushu University have research collaborations with researchers from Indonesian universities in the field of medical, dental science, chemistry and applied chemistry, social and cultural studies, architecture and urban design, law, etc. 50 institutions in total have collaborated with Kyushu University researchers with 624 co-authored publications from 2011 to 2020. These various collaborations indicate the strong partnership of Kyushu University and Indonesian universities and the opportunity to expand the collaboration in wider fields.
