The co-authored paper by Associate Professor Qian, titled “Does background color influence the perception of facial expression? Adjustment to neutral expression by Caucasian and Japanese participants”, has been published in the peer-reviewed English-language academic journal Journal of the Optical Society of America A. This research is a result of joint collaboration with the University of Helsinki and is part of the outcomes of the JSPS Fund for the Promotion of Joint International Research (Fostering Joint International Research B), for which Associate Professor Qian serves as the principal investigator.
