Abstract
This lecture explores a new direction in livestock farming by viewing the gut and rumen microbiomes as “inner ecosystems” that connect animal welfare, productivity, and environmental sustainability. The microbiome functions as a resonant field of life, mediating health, behavior, and ecological responses, and forms a biological foundation for One Health, which integrates the health of humans, animals, nature, and society. Smart livestock farming, integrating biosensing and environmental data, is redefined not merely as a tool for efficiency but as a data-driven practice of knowledge resonance that visualizes and sustains the dynamic balance between life and environment. By identifying and managing environmental, physiological, and behavioral parameters influencing microbiome dynamics, this approach aims to realize One Health as integrative knowledge that advances welfare, productivity, and sustainability.
