Abstract
In recent years, the number of students moving across national borders has been on the rise. As a result, the foreign educational qualifications and academic records that these students submit when applying for admission are becoming more diverse and international. The problem that arises from this is how to confirm the equivalence of these diverse foreign qualifications and academic records with domestic learning outcomes and evaluate them at the host university. Research and practice focusing on these issues is known as Foreign Credential Evaluation (FCE). In this presentation, after providing an overview of FCE and looking at case studies from various countries, it will report on the current situation and issues of FCE at universities in Asia (particularly Japan and South Korea).
