Q-AOS Brown Bag Seminar Series The 104th Seminar “Education and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in the classroom”
The Q-AOS Brown Bag Seminar Series are held every Wednesday lunch time from April 2021. The purpose of this webinar series is to provide opportunities not only to learn research related with SDGs in Asian and Oceanian regions and but also to expand your research network in different academic areas. The webinar is free, available in English and Japanese, and open to everyone! We hope you all come and join us!

Abstract
Students who are deaf or hard of hearing may have difficulty hearing or listening, depending on their hearing level. In particular, from elementary school to university, it is difficult for students to grasp the content of classes, class conversations, group work, etc., making it difficult for them to participate in the class itself and also it could leads to not guaranteeing sufficient learning opportunities. In response to these situations, it is important to devise teaching methods, use supplementary listening assistance systems, and note-taking to provide class content as written information. We would like to provide an opportunity to consider how education and support should be provided, including these methods.
