Kyushu University Institute for Asian and Oceanian Studies (Q-AOS) Brown Bag Seminar Series The 53th Seminar 「Challenges of Learning Analytics for Data-driven Education」
The Q-AOS Brown Bag Seminar Series are held every Wednesday lunch time from April 2021. The purpose of this webinar series is to provide opportunities not only to learn research related with SDGs in Asian and Oceanian regions and but also to expand your research network in different academic areas. The webinar is free, available in English and Japanese, and open to everyone! We hope you all come and join us!

Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has triggered the introduction of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) into the field of education and the development of its environment. Education and learning using ICT not only enables learning using a digital environment but also records various education and learning activities in systems. It becomes possible to discover at-risk students, support education and learning based on analyzing educational data, and verify the effectiveness of the support, so-called data-driven education. In this seminar, I will introduce the challenges of Learning Analytics, which conducts research on the use of educational data for the realization of data-driven education.
