Kyushu Debate Exchange (QDE)
Kyushu University Institute of Asia and Oceanian Studies - Cultural Dynamics Cluster will hold two events on the following schedule:
・Kyushu Debate Exchange (QDE) on May 20 (Sat) and 21 (Sun)
・Kyushu Academic Exchange (QAE) on July 8 (Sat) and 9 (Sun)
QDE is a competition of Parliamentary Debate in English in both PDA and HPDU formats, while QAE is a workshop-style event with debates and lectures by experts and professors. QAE aims to deepen the knowledge of middle school and high school students, university students, and graduate students (including international students) on academic themes through debates and lectures.
While the two events are independent of each other, members of teams with excellent results in QDE will be invited to QAE. Both will be in person event.
The event was previously organized as the side event of the Global Young Academy General Assembly held at Kyushu University in June 2022: Debate Workshop.

Application period: From April 17, 2023 (Monday) to May 7, 2023 (Sunday).
There will be a cap of 20 teams each for the PDA division and HPDU division respectively.
● If the maximum number of teams is reached, the application will be closed before the deadline.
