Technological Innovation for Natural Disaster Risk
Module Mission/Vision
Due to global climate change and active crustal deformation, natural disasters such as torrential rains and earthquakes have been increasing in recent years. Especially in Asian countries, the damage and impact is becoming wider and larger. Moreover in Kyushu, volcanic eruption and Nankai Trough earthquakes are expected to occur. From this background, we will use an innocative technology to quantify and visualize the risk of natural disasters such as rainfall and earthquake disasters caused by the intensification of climate change and crustal deformation.
