サーキュラー・エコノミー(CE)関連技術の開発優先度の変化を、要因分解分析を用いて調査した。その結果、グローバル・地域別分析のどちらにおいても、「水耕栽培/垂直農法」と「資源回収」の優先度が近年増加し、「バイオ燃料」の優先度が近年減少していることが明らかになった。こうした各CE技術の特徴の違いは、市場需要や優先度の高い技術タイプを理解し、CEを実現するための政策・戦略を立てる上で重要な情報である。

Thank you for your poster presentation. I think you should explain how you define the parameters (i.e., priority, CE, and total) in this study. What kind of criteria for each model parameter did you use? What is the implication of these parameters and why choosing only 4 types of the technology?

Thank you for your comment. I apologize for the lack of explanation. First, I would like to add about the 3 parameters. In the LMDI decomposition analysis, the number of applications for a specific patent is on the left side, and in this study, I used the number of applications for one of the 4 technical fields of CE defined in Table 1. In the poster, BIOFUEL is included as an example. Then, on the right side, I divided the number of patents in the specific field in CE (in the poster, the number of patents in BIOFUEL) by the total number of patents in CE, i.e., the total number of patents in the 4 technical fields, and then divided the total number of patents in CE by the total number of patents in all fields, including non-CE, and multiply by the total number of patents in all fields. I defined PRIORITY index as the number of applications for a specific patent in the CE (BIOFUEL in the poster) divided by the total number of patents in the CE, CE index as the total number of CE divided by the total number of patents in all fields, and TOTAL index as the total number of patents in all fields. PRIORITY is an indicator of the development priority of each specific technology within the overall CE, CE is an indicator of the proportion and importance of CE technology fields, and TOTAL is an indicator of the scale of overall patent applications. Second, regarding the selection of technology areas, previous studies have shown that the system diagram of CE is largely divided into two flows: "RENEWABLE FLOW MANAGEMENT" such as bio-chemical and farming, and "STOCK MANAGEMENT" such as maintain and recycle. In this study, I selected bio-related technologies from the "RENEWABLE FLOW MANAGEMENT" flow (divided into the 3 fields of "BIOFUEL," "Genetically Edited Plants", and "Hydroponics/Vertical farming" because of their broad definitions) and "Resource Recovery" technologies from the "STOCK MANAGEMENT" flow. It means that the technology areas were selected from each flow.
