Resilience & Gender Equality Mission & Vision of Modules In developing countries in Asia and Oceania, many children have access to primary, secondary, and higher education, and the gender gap in school enrollment is becoming smaller. On the other hand, there have been pandemics of new coronavirus infections, and floods and landslides caused by typhoons and heavy rains due to climate change. In developing countries, social security systems are inadequate, and traditional family supports and commons (forests, etc.) as a resource for daily life are becoming scarce. Therefore, crises such as disasters have a significant impact on vulnerable groups such as women and children. Using girls' education (gender equality) in Laos as a case study, this project examines and proposes institutional, family, and community approaches to enhance resilience in collaboration with various local actors, including the Ministry of Education and Sports, the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, the Lao Women’s Unio, and the Faculty of Social Sciences of the National University of Laos.
