Mission & Vision of Modules

  • Mission: "Science for Policy (SfP)" is a field aimed at integrating scientific knowledge into the policy-making process.Recognizing that scientific advancements don’t always translate into policy application, this module focuses on employing scientific insights for effective resolution of societal issues, incorporating ELSI (Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications) perspectives. It aims to bridge science and policy to foster sustainable development and social progress. Vision: "Science for Policy" seeks to integrate scientific knowledge into policy formulation. This module explores ① medical technology and telemedicine, ② environmental conservation and water access, and ③ science and technology diplomacy for policy application. It aims to promote sustainable policy decisions in healthcare and environmental fields, especially incorporating perspectives from humanities, social sciences, and ELSI, exploring the policy adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
