Sustainable meat production Mission & Vision of Modules The goal of this module is to establish a research network for the sustainability of the natural environment and food in Asia. International collaboration between Kyushu University and the target countries, with our cutting-edge research environment, will play a crucial role in conserving rare species, establishing a sustainable meat industry, and building international friendships. Asia has many subspecies and indigenous species of domestic poultry that have not yet been analyzed in detail and are very promising research targets because they may have unique genetic and meat quality characteristics. In addition, there is a growing need for effective livestock and poultry breeding with limited resources in these countries, and sharing Japanese technology and knowledge is expected to optimize the use of resources and improve breeding efficiency. Achievement of the mission of this module will contribute to the improvement of breeding technology for livestock and poultry breeds in Japan, and will also provide a policy for effective utilization of the yet untapped resources in the Asian region.region.
