Recent development of life science has revealed that gut microbiome plays indispensable roles as interface between food and health. This module aims to study on Asian gut microbiome linking Asian foods to health of Asian people in collaboration of food, medical, and microbial scientists. Notably, Asia is facing the problem of increase of non-communicable diseases under the decrease of traditional foods and increase of western foods that must have a great impact on gut microbiome.
