Security and Disaster Prevention Cluster Now, we are facing various security issues and disasters in Asia and Oceania. These issues and disasters are (1) non-traditional security issues, such as trans-border crimes, traffic in person, and infectious diseases, (2) impacts of the rapid progress of information technologies, (3) social, economic, and political instabilities caused by aging and urbanization, (4) natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, typhoons, floods, and torrential rains. This cluster will identify the root causes of these problems and will find feasible solutions.
